Jesus Life exists because God is good, and people were made to experience that for themselves — not read about it, not hope for it someday. Now.
The name comes from Acts 17:28: In Him we live, and move, and have our being. That's not a verse we picked because it sounded nice. It's the whole message. Life isn't something you manufacture and then bring to God. Life is what happens in Him. Everything we do comes out of that one truth.
Our story
We're Barry and Amy Tubbs, and we've spent our lives chasing that reality.In 2009 we founded The Way, a counter-culture church in Granbury, Texas, and led it for a decade — watching people encounter healing, grace, and the realities of Heaven touching earth. It was everything we'd believed for.
And then we lost it.
Not all at once. We let small things in, and small things always grow. They grew until everything was gone — our marriage, our ministry, our family under one roof. Six years of divorce. From the outside it looked dead, and honestly, it was.
But God doesn't leave dead things dead. He brought us all the way back — our marriage, our family, our walk with Him. Restored, remarried, and carrying something we didn't have before: the ground we gained on the way back.
That's why we don't tell a tidy story. We tell the real one — because the people we're called to reach have been told restoration is for everyone else.
What we believe
We want people to encounter the extreme Presence of God and come away different. To discover true identity and stop settling for average. To receive the impartation of the Life-Giving Spirit and walk in real power. To build genuine community by serving each other the way Jesus did — and then go out and be the demonstration of Love.We're unapologetic about Holy Spirit fire: intimacy with God, the baptism in the Holy Spirit, healing, and a bold, living faith spoken out loud in a region that's gone quiet.
Where we're going
Jesus Life starts with testimony — telling the truth of what God has done, out loud, for anyone who thinks they're too far gone. Out of that testimony, a church is rising here in Northwest Arkansas: a community birthed out of restoration, and a launching place for ministry that reaches far beyond us.
